Four Seasons Hotel Chicago Honoring Hon. Patricia Brown Holmes (Ret.) with the Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Philanthropic Award |
Through Lend-A-Hand Tutoring, we provide free one-to-one tutoring and mentoring to students from two public charter schools in Chicago: the Montessori School of Englewood and the Betty Shabazz Academy in the Greater Grand Crossing community. The students meet with their tutors every week at the Chicago Bar Association for literacy-focused sessions. More than 80 percent of our volunteers are lawyers.

Lend-A-Hand Tutoring at the CBA is seeking volunteers for our one-to-one tutoring program. Tutors can come on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at The Chicago Bar Association (321 S. Plymouth Court). The program is sponsored by Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth, but you do NOT have to be a lawyer to participate.
To sign up or find out more contact us and/or visit our Tutoring page. |
For a look at how one of our many tutoring pairs worked together for the student's academic and personal growth, please view Anita and Mary's story on the video below.
Our 2022 Spring Awards Celebration was a huge success, thanks to all who participated.
