Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Philanthropic Award

The Hon. Abraham Lincoln Marovitz was a longtime federal judge who was beloved by the Chicago legal community. He was known for his many friendships and for his commitment to public service and good deeds. A gift of $100,000 from his estate in 2003 was instrumental in the formation of Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth.

In honor of “Judge Abe,” Lend-A-Hand presents the Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Philanthropic Award each year at its Spring Awards Celebration to a member(s) of the community for his/her dedication, leadership, and outstanding contributions to society. The honoree should demonstrate a dedication of time and spirit to good works and public service.
